Privacy Policy
Woo Chul Moon ("we", "us") sets out below how personal information is handled in the iOS application "Hemera" (the "App").
1. Information the App Handles
(1) Information you enter
Events (title, date and time, notes, etc.), day counters (name and date), date of birth, city, holiday country and settings.
(2) Events from your device's calendar
Only if you grant permission, the App reads events registered in the iPhone Calendar (title, date and time, location, notes) and displays them in the App. This is read-only; the App does not write, modify or delete anything.
(3) Free trial start date
The date the App was first launched.
(4) Purchase status
Whether the in-app purchase "Hemera Full Unlock" has been purchased.
The App does not collect location data (you select your city yourself), contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or any other device identifiers. It uses no analytics tools or advertising SDKs that measure your behaviour and send it elsewhere.
2. Where Information Is Stored
All information in section 1 is stored only on your device. It is never sent to or stored on our servers, and we cannot view it.
As an exception, the free trial start date (section 1(3)) is stored, in addition to your device, in the iCloud key-value storage tied to your Apple account. This is so that the trial deadline carries over after reinstalling or changing devices. Only the date is stored; it is held on Apple Inc.'s servers and we cannot view it.
Your date of birth is used only on your device to calculate fortunes and is never sent off the device.
3. Internet Communication
The App connects to the internet only in the following cases.
(1) Retrieving correction data
On launch, the App retrieves correction data for holidays, observances and calendars (static files we publish). During this communication, the hosting provider's servers may temporarily process connection information such as your IP address. None of the information you enter is sent.
(2) Communication with the App Store
The App communicates with Apple's App Store to retrieve the price of the in-app purchase, to purchase and to restore purchases. This is handled by Apple, and we receive no information that identifies the purchaser.
4. Third Parties Outside Japan
The following overseas entities process information when you use the App.

By using the App, you consent to this processing.
5. Purposes of Use
Information handled by the App is used only for the following purposes:
- displaying the calendar, events, day counters, calendar layers and fortunes;
- determining the free trial deadline and providing features according to purchase status; and
- scheduling the morning notification (a local notification on your device; nothing is sent externally).
We do not use this information for any other purpose, and we do not sell or lend it to third parties.
6. Retention and Deletion
Information handled by the App exists only on your device and is retained until you delete it. Deleting the App erases the information on the device. However, the purchase status and free trial start date may be retained even after deleting the App, through Apple's mechanisms (Keychain and iCloud).
Because we do not store your information, there is no data held by us that could be subject to a deletion request.
7. Minors
If you are a minor, please use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.
8. Changes to This Policy
This Policy may be changed as necessary. We will notify you of material changes in the App or on this page.
