The morning ritual

Before you light the lamp, the screen is night. Press and hold the lamp, and dawn opens today's fortune.

The morning notification only tells you it is time to light the lamp. Results are never shown in notifications.

Nyx and Hemera

When you first open the app, it is night. Today's fortune is still face down. Press and hold the lamp to light it.

When the lamp is lit, night gives way to day and today's fortune appears. Once a day. However many times you open it, the answer is the same.

In Greek myth, Nyx is the goddess of night and Hemera the goddess of day — mother and daughter, never seen together.

Day counts

Days since a birth, day N of an anniversary, N days until a date.

The numbers from the dates that matter to you appear under your calendar every day.

A sky that follows the day

The sky in the background follows sunrise and sunset in your city: night, dawn, day and dusk.
